Description
A superheater is a device used to convert saturated steam or wet steam into superheated steam or dry steam. Superheated steam is applied in processes such as steam turbines for power generation, steam engines, and steam reforming. There are three types of superheaters: radiant, convective, and separately fired. The size of a superheater can range from several tens of feet to several hundred feet (a few meters to several hundred meters).
Reheaters and superheaters are a set of tubes located in a boiler. Steam from the water walls enters the superheater, where it is heated above its saturation temperature until it reaches the required maximum operating temperature. Subsequently, the superheated steam flows through the main steam pipes to the high-pressure turbine. The exhaust steam from the high-pressure turbine is directed to the boiler for reheating, and from there, it is guided to the medium-pressure and low-pressure turbines. Higher reheating temperatures improve the output and efficiency of the power plant.

Product Description:
A waterwall in a boiler is any furnace wall that is comprised of refractory and tubes in a water-tube boiler. The tubes are evenly spaced and generally connect to headers which in turn are connected back to the main generating bank of the boiler. They serve a two fold purpose here in that they capture heat that would otherwise escape to the atmosphere and help heat the water in the boiler. And they also help keep the refractory cool.This prevents spalling of the refractory.
